Getting Started
- Download Takara free from the App Store and create an account or continue as a guest.
- Use the Scan tab to point your camera at any trading card — Takara will identify it and let you add it to your collection.
- Browse the Search tab to find cards by name, set, or card number.
- Check the Collection tab to see all your cards, binders, and set progress.
Card Scanning Issues
- Make sure the card is well-lit and fills most of the viewfinder frame.
- Hold your phone steady and wait for the scan to complete.
- If the scanner cannot identify a card, use the manual search to find it by name or card number.
- Ensure you have granted Takara camera permissions in your device settings.
Account & Sync
- Sign in with your email or Apple ID to sync your collection across devices.
- Guest mode works fully offline — sign up anytime to enable cloud sync.
- If your collection is not syncing, check your internet connection and try pulling down to refresh.
- To delete your account and all data, go to Profile and contact us via email.
Takara Pro
- Takara Pro unlocks unlimited card scanning, unlimited custom binders, collection export, and more.
- Subscriptions are managed through the App Store. To cancel, open Settings on your device, tap your Apple ID, then Subscriptions.
- To restore a previous purchase, go to Profile and tap Restore Purchases.
- If you were charged but Pro features are not active, try restarting the app or restoring purchases.
Data & Privacy
- Your collection data is stored locally on your device and synced to the cloud when you have an account.
- Export your collection to CSV from the Profile screen (Pro feature).
- Camera images are used only for card recognition and are never stored on our servers.
